JudyAnn Bigby is currently the Executive Director of South African Partners, a non-profit that strives to make systematic changes between the United States and South Africa to provide people with healthcare and education. She received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School. Previously, she led and managed initiatives to promote women’s health in a clinical, educational, and community settings at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In addition, Dr. Bigby has a strong background in policy development. She was the Secretary of Health and Human Services from 2007 to 2013, where she advised the Governor on health matters, put healthcare reform laws into action, and managed a $13 billion agency. She also conducted health policy research at Mathematica Policy Research.
